OUR 5 WEEK BEGINNER SEW COURSE 

Have you always wanted to learn to sew but don't know where to start? Do you learn better hands-on with physical guidance rather than through watching YouTube videos? Do you enjoy working and learning alongside a small group of like-minded people? If yes, then our beginner 5-week sew course is for you!

August/September

  • 5 week Wednesday evenings from 5-7pm starting on Wednesday the 5th August, running weekly through to Wednesday the 2nd September.SOLD OUT

September/October

  • 5 week Sunday afternoons from 3-5pm starting on Sunday the 6th September, running weekly through to Sunday 4th October. (note that the last Sunday class for this course will run 1 hour later than usual, from 4-6pm) SOLD OUT
  • 5 week Sunday evenings from 5-7pm starting on Sunday the 6th September, Running weekly through to Sunday 4th October. (note that the last Sunday class for this course will run 1 hour later than usual, from 6-8pm) SOLD OUT

Course length: 5 weeks with 5 classes

Skill level: Beginner friendly or handy for anyone with or without sewing experience who wants to learn or expand on skills. 

Spots: 8-10 spots maximum

What you'll learn (week by week)

Week 1: introduction to the basics of sewing, getting to know your machine, understanding patterns and garment construction. 

Week 2: Begin working on a piece of your choice (beginner friendly) with guidance and one-on-one help available.

Week 3-5 : Continue on garment construction and finish garments by end of course to take home and wear. During this process, you will have learnt the many skills and techniques needed to create your own pieces, taking these new skills home with you to continue on your sewing journey!

  • overlocker provided
  • patterns provided
  • one-on-one guidance 
  • We have a few sewing machines available to borrow if needed, but these are reserved for anyone who does not have access to a machine. Please BYO sewing machine if possible and reach out if you need to borrow one (free of charge).

What to bring:

  • Sewing machine (Please ensure the machine is in good working order).
  • sewing kit with the basics like scissors and thread (more details on what to bring in your kit in student info pack)
  • Fabric of your choosing (week 2)
